(and Congress), Punjab
, has demanded to reduce the age of retirement for defence services to 60 years from 62 years, claiming it will save the government a lot of money and reduce the burden on the armed forces.
Seeking to know if Congress had prepared a blueprint for coming general elections, Manpreet Singh Badal said Congress had neither detailed any manifesto nor hired any research team to find out the public’s views on various issues that could form the basis of a manifesto.

A senior Congress leader, who did not wish to be named, said that the party had not prepared a blueprint as it did not have a clear idea of the outcome of the Gujarat polls.
